We're proud to announce that on Friday, August 28, 2026, Longshots Sports Bar and Lounge will officially open its doors in Winthrop. They will be open daily starting Friday from 11am-1am. Please join us in welcoming owners Bo, Jonathan, Josh, and the whole Longshots team to our neighborhood!
Longshots is a friendly, welcoming, neighborhood hangout — with a chef-curated scratch kitchen, TVs at every seat, and games like darts, pool, and Golden Tee. It boasts 3 gorgeous chesterfield couches, so comfortable that you'll stay for another round just to keep your spot! They've designed it with heart and intention to be welcoming and comfortable for families, kids, for people of all ages.
Longshots may be a sports bar, but they are raising the bar on what to expect from pub fare. Their kitchen is top-notch; the burgers and wings are outstanding. Their fries are even cooked in beef tallow without seed oils. And their sweet potato fries are so good, they could be a dessert! Plus, they have unique items like fried pickle spears, crispy duck wings, and salads, plus a rotation of specials.
Longshots is independently and locally owned, and is brought to life by the same team that owns and operates the much-loved The Soho Backyard in Tampa. The team prides itself on forming close community ties, making it a great fit for our tight-knit Winthrop community.
Their Tampa location is notorious for supporting neighbors. Known as a bartenders-bar, Soho Backyard even keeps its kitchen open late to service the local hospitality industry. Longshots will carry forward that tradition — undoubtedly becoming a staple for local families and sports fans, and staying open late to care for folks in hospitality.
